This listing is for the opalized clam shell fossil shown. Featuring a gorgeous display of iridescent opalized fossil clam in a lovely spectrum of colors. This clam is in great condition and large size. It is a whole clam, with the top and bottom shell intact. On one side you see beautiful greens and blues sparkle through. On the other side you see the concentric lines of the shell. A lovely transparency can be seen within the opalized area allowing you to get a glimpse of the internal world. This is from the Cretaceous Period, about 140 million years ago. This shell displays lavender, blue, turquoise, green and a tiny bit of orange and gold. Natural inclusions can be seen on the exterior. A magical addition to any collection!
